Get Involved and Lead

As a Doctor of Occupational Therapy student, you have a number of ways to get involved on campus.

  • Our Student Occupational Therapy Association chapter is student-led and faculty-supported, offering leadership roles and organizing social events, volunteer opportunities, charity initiatives and professional networking.
  • Occupational therapy students are part of the DMU Student Government Association, which brings together representatives from every degree program to shape student life and advocate for meaningful change.
  • Align your career goals with a number of student clubs like Neurology Club, Geriatrics Club, Pediatrics Club and more — many of which host specialized guest speakers and provide networking opportunities with students from other health professions.
  • Join Pi Theta Epsilon (Kappa Beta chapter), the national OT honor society, recognizing academic achievement and leadership in occupational therapy.
