No Degree Needed
Ready to start your path to occupational therapy? The Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at DMU makes it possible to get started sooner.
You don’t need a bachelor’s degree to apply. Instead, you’ll need at least 72 credits of undergraduate coursework — including prerequisite courses — completed at a regionally accredited college or university in the U.S., finished before orientation begins.
Doctor of Occupational Therapy 3+3 Pathway
Another route to admission is DMU’s OTD 3+3 Pathway, designed for motivated undergraduate students at partner institutions.
Through early planning and a streamlined admissions pathway, students can complete both their bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Occupational Therapy in as little as six years — saving time and reducing costs.
Why Choose the 3+3 Pathway?
- Graduate faster — finish one year sooner than traditional paths
- Reduce your cost — save one year of undergraduate tuition and living expenses
- Start early — apply as soon as July before your junior year
- Stay on track — plan undergraduate coursework to fulfill OTD prerequisites
- Plan with confidence — secure your path into a doctoral program sooner
