Dr. Michelle Brown is the site coordinator of clinical education and an assistant professor in the Des Moines University Department of Physical Therapy. Her current clinical practice focuses on orthopedics, vestibular rehabilitation, balance and fall prevention. Prior to joining DMU, she was the director of a physical therapy clinic where she treated patients with a variety of conditions including orthopedic diagnoses, neurological disorders, generalized weakness and work-related injuries. She also spent three years in rural Jamaica doing pro bono physical therapy, treating a wide range of patients with orthopedic and neurological diagnoses. Dr. Brown earned her master of science in physical therapy from DMU in 1999 and her doctor of physical therapy degree from the University of New England in 2016. She completed her Certificate of Competency in Vestibular Therapy through 360 Neuro Health in 2019.
