Thanks for the memories – now make some more at the 2020 Alumni Reunion

Mark your calendar for some memorable merriment for all alumni, the 2020 DMU Alumni Reunion on May 20-22, in conjunction with the University’s Commencement. With special activities for the classes of 1995, 1980, 1970 and earlier years, the reunion offers a great opportunity to reminisce with classmates, meet students, faculty and staff and reflect on the twists, turns and trips you’ve taken since your days as a student.

“This will be a wonderful time to reconnect with each other,” Jim Watson, D.O.’70, wrote in an email message to his classmates. “There will be opportunities to tour the school, be entertained at a formal dinner, tour Des Moines, eat an Iowa pork tenderloin, talk to students and other activities…I look forward to seeing you and sharing ‘war stories’ of our experiences.”

Adrian Woolley, D.O.’95, shares Dr. Watson’s amazement at the passage of time since they graduated. An assistant professor of osteopathic manual medicine at DMU, she recalled her class’s 100-day countdown to going out on rotations.

“Remember when that day arrived and we had a marching band take us all around the school?” she queried her classmates. “Remember the water gun and balloon fight we had outside the lecture halls in the Azneer Academic Center? There was a good inch of water on that floor and it took us quite some time to clean it all up, but it was SO worth it to celebrate such a momentous time in our lives!”
