Brig. Gen. Marco Coppola, D.O.’89, assumed command of the newly activated 2nd Brigade, Texas State Guard. The 2nd Brigade, “Ad Omnia Parati” (“Ready for Anything”), covers 35 counties to provide emergency and disaster response including medical support, shelter operations, Emergency Tracking Network, boat and dive teams, as well as search and rescue and recovery.
