Areas of Expertise

Dr. Hillary Haas is a physician in the Des Moines University (DMU) Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) Clinic and an assistant professor of OMM in DMU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine.

After earning a BA in psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Dr. Haas initially worked in film and commercial production and as a teacher at a high school for students with learning differences.  She attended medical school at DMU, where she spent an additional year as an undergraduate OMM fellow.  She completed a family medicine residency at Fox Valley Family Medicine in Appleton, Wisconsin, and a plus-one residency in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (NMM/OMM) at Maine Dartmouth Family Medicine.

Dr. Haas is board certified in Family Medicine and OMM/NMM.  She treats patients of all ages and has a particular interest in application of OMM for pediatric and post-surgical patients.  She believes medicine is not only about treating the individual with a condition, but about preventing illness from occurring.
