James Taylor, D.O.’90, FACOS

James Taylor, D.O.’90, FACOS, is a cardiothoracic surgeon on the surgical staff of LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA, and on the physician staff of LewisGale Physicians Cardiothoracic Surgery. A Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, he is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Heart Association, the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, the Missouri Osteopathic Medical Association, the Kansas Osteopathic Medical Association, the Nevada Osteopathic Medical Association and the Clark County Medical Society. Taylor has been honored with several awards and recognitions, including the Robert C. Erwin National Literary Achievement Award by the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, Super Doctor for Cardiac Surgery by Texas Monthly Magazine and Meritorious Community Service Award by the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association (2008), among others.
