Gregory B. Hoversten, D.O.’83, and Ronald A. Cheney, D.O.’96

Hoversten, of Iowa City, will end his term April 20, 2014, on the Iowa Board of Medicine. Associate chief medical officer and regional medical director for Acute Care Inc., Hoversten was appointed to the board in 2011. He currently serves as chair of the board and on the board’s executive and monitoring committees. Succeeding Hoversten is Ronald A. Cheney, D.O.’96, a board-certified surgeon at Western Iowa Surgery of Carroll. He will begin his three-year term on the board on May 1, 2014. The 10-member governor-appointed board – seven physicians and three public members – licenses and regulates physicians and acupuncturists.
