Granting Proxy Access
Students at Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences may grant parents, a spouse, or others access to make a payment or view tuition account activity on the Student Finance Portal. Once in Self-Service, click your username in the upper-right hand corner and select View/Add Proxy Access from the drop-down menu.
Once the student has authorized access, the proxy will receive emails with their username and password.
If you need help please contact the Solutions Hub at solutionshub@dmu.edu or 515-271-1522.
Making a Payment on a Studentโs Account
Once logged in, select your student's name to make a payment to their account or view their tuition activity. Do not select the proxy name (your name) to make payments.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
FERPA is a federal law that protects the privacy of students and prohibits institutions of higher education from disclosing any student information, including financial information, without the explicit authorization of the student. In accordance with FERPA, DMU has established guidelines regarding access to and release of educational records.
DMU will determine the options available to be granted based on FERPA and DMU policies. Access is granted by email address, so a student uses the email address of the proxy to grant the access.
