Des Moines University recognizes the importance of having an active and educated student body in the election process and as a result, our goal is to ensure voter register is made readily available. There are on campus efforts to register students to vote and to bring candidates and issues to our students in a non-partisan way.
To register to vote, a voter registration form must be completed and delivered or mailed to the County Auditor’s office for the county where you live. Forms are available through the Des Moines University Office of External and Governmental Affairs or at the Polk County Election Office at 120 2nd Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa. Additional information, as well as registration forms and information about local election rules (including registration deadlines), can be found on the Iowa.gov voter registration website.
