Ballard, an assistant professor of emergency medicine in the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, received the title, during NBC’s “Today” show  on Oct. 6, in the magazine’s third annual nationwide Ultimate Guy Search. That put him on the cover of the magazine’s November issue.
