DMU mourns loss of longtime trustee

Patricia Yungclas, a member of the DMU Board of Trustees for more than three decades, died on Nov. 10, 2021, in Webster City, IA. She was 95. A graduate of Iowa State College, now Iowa State University, Ms. Yungclas was part of her family’s farm operation near Ellsworth, IA, her entire life. She was active in her church, 4-H, the Webster City Community Theatre and the Ellsworth Community Club. She joined the DMU Board of Trustees in 1982 and served as co-vice chair from 1983 to 1986; chair, 1986 to 1990; and secretary, 1990- 1993. She was honored as an Iowa Master Farm Homemaker in 2010. She and her late husband, Gary, were married for 52 years.
