Des Moines University joined Iowa Campus Compact as a member institution in 2014. Campus Compact advances the public purposes of colleges and universities by deepening their ability to improve community life and to educate students for civic and social responsibility. Faculty Fellows will join in a learning community to improve their engaged scholarship knowledge and skills and will create a new or improved course or scholarship project. The goal of the program is to encourage more Iowa faculty to turn their work into scholarship that benefits their discipline and the field of community engagement.
