The Human Simulation Lab is located on the DMU campus on the 3rd floor of the Innovation building. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and are often extended to fulfill event needs.

The human simulation lab has 16 clinical examination rooms equipped with exam tables and stools. Each room has a separate entry for learners and standardized patients. The rooms are equipped with two video cameras, a microphone, audio speakers and paging system, an intercom system and computers for the SP and students to complete assessments. Faculty evaluate students remotely. A control room monitors the 16 rooms and captures all audio-video that is used to complete the assessments. Multi-purpose rooms in the human simulation lab area are used for SP training and debriefing.
