Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences has earned a Best of District VI Award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education for a video featuring one of its distinguished alumni. CASE awards recognize institutions that set the bar for excellence in alumni relations, fundraising, advancement services, special events, and marketing and communications.
The award-winning piece, titled โDMU Pioneer in Osteopathic Medicine and Public Service,โ shares the story of William G. Anderson, D.O., a 1956 graduate of DMUโs College of Osteopathic Medicine and a recipient of the universityโs highest honor, the Pioneers of Osteopathic Medicine Award. The video highlights Andersonโs significant contributions to civil rights and osteopathic medicine.
The video, created by DMU videographer Paul Joy, also earned a national CASE Circle of Excellence Award earlier this year.
