Richard Pitts, D.O.’73, Ph.D.

Richard Pitts, D.O.’73, Ph.D., was named a Healthcare Hero by the Community Health Initiative of Orange County, CA, at its eighth annual celebration Oct. 4, 2023. Pitts is chief medical officer at CalOptima Health, overseeing its health care delivery system and leading several key departments, including clinical operations, case management and long-term support services.
