Alexander Tokarski, D.P.M.’19

Alexander Tokarski, D.P.M.’19, was among the authors of the article “The incidence of complications following scarf osteotomy for the treatment of hallux valgus: a systematic review with meta-analysis,” published online in November in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. It is the largest study of its kind ever, involving data from 1,583 scarf osteotomies and the average rates of recurrence, troughing, avascular necrosis, nonunion and other outcome statistics. Tokarski is a podiatric medicine and surgery resident at Gundersen Health Systems in La Crosse, WI.
