DMU grads serve, lead IOMA

Brian Meeker, D.O.’84, was elected president of the Iowa Osteopathic Medical Association (IOMA) and Dustin Arnold, D.O.’96, was elected president-elect for the 2022-2023 fiscal year at IOMA’s 123rd annual conference in Des Moines this spring. A Fellow of the American Board of Family Medicine, Meeker practices with the Vinton, IA, Family Medical Clinic and has been a provider in the Virginia Gay Hospitals and Clinics since 1992. Arnold is chief medical officer at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Elected to two-year terms on the IOMA Board of Trustees were Jennifer Olson, D.O.’95, a physician at MercyOne Carlisle Family Medicine Clinic in Carlisle, IA, and Ryan Taylor, D.O.’13, FAAPMR, a physician with Genesis Health Group in Bettendorf, IA. 

Completing their current terms on the board are Michael Foggia II, D.O.’94; Katie Kuehner, D.O.’06; and Adrian Woolley, D.O.’95. Foggia practices at Cityville Urgent Care, part of Broadlawns Medical Center, in Des Moines. Kuehner is the urgent care medical director at Exemplar Care, a direct care organization with central Iowa’s first 24/7 urgent care facility. Woolley is assistant professor of osteopathic manual medicine at DMU. 

Founded in 1898 and headquartered in Des Moines, IOMA represents the more than 1,200 osteopathic physicians practicing in Iowa.
