Jonathan Thompson, D.P.M.’10, M.H.A.’10, FACFAS, was among the authors of “Cheilectomy combined with first tarsometatarsal joint arthrodesis for surgical treatment of midstage hallux rigidus complicated by medial column insufficiency: prospective evaluation of outcomes,” published in the July-August edition of the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Lead author of the article was Troy Boffeli, D.P.M.’90, FACFAS. Thompson is a foot and ankle surgeon at the Orthopedic Center of the Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI. Boffeli is the director of the foot and ankle surgical residency program at Regions Hospital/HealthPartners Institute for Education and Research in St. Paul, MN.
