Katherine Heineman, D.O.’09, opened a private micro-osteopathic manual medicine practice in Des Moines in January 2020. She previously was a clinician and chair of osteopathic manual medicine at DMU. She applies hands-on expertise to treat a variety of health care problems such as gastrointestinal concerns; repetitive strains related to musical careers or sports injuries; infants with nursing difficulties, chronic infections and colic; pain and concerns related to pregnancy; chronic sinus infections, recurrent ear infections and vertigo; and other somatic pain. Heineman is board-certified in neuro-musculoskeletal medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine.
