Jeffrey Ditzell, D.O.’00

Jeffrey Ditzell, D.O.’00, is an adult ADHD psychiatrist in private practice in New York City. He completed fellowships in addiction psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine and public psychiatry. Previously he served as the chief of an inpatient dual diagnosis unit, as the lead attending in two psychiatric emergency rooms and as the lead physician of an assisted community treatment team. He attained the rank of lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army and served with distinction as the division psychiatrist in Tikrit, Iraq, during his deployment in 2005. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal. Ditzell also serves as the medical officer for a community-based Warrior Transition Unit at Rock Island Arsenal, assisting soldiers and their families making the often difficult transition from overseas deployment to home.
