Kyle Abben, D.P.M.’11, AACFAS, was lead author of “Immediate weightbearing after first metatarsophalangeal joint arthrodesis with screw and locking plate fixation: a short-term review,” published in the July-August 2018 issue of the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon with Park Nicollet Health Services in St. Louis Park, MN. One of his co-authors of the research article was Matthew Sorensen, D.P.M.’05, FACFAS, a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon with Weil Foot and Ankle Institute in Des Plaines, IL.
