Eric Newgent, D.O.’84

Eric Newgent, D.O.’84, and Michael Miller, D.O.’85, FACOS, FAPWCA, WCC, co-authored the scientific article “A comprehensive scoring system to evaluate patient-centered risk factors regarding lower extremity amputation” published in The Journal of Wound Care. The article won two international awards. Newgent is the medical director of sleep medicine at ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin, WI, and is certified in family medicine, occupational medicine and sleep medicine. Miller is a board-certified general surgeon, full-time wound care specialist and medical director of Miller Care Group in Indianapolis. The two physicians were roommates as DMU students.
