During their meeting on December 8, 2017, members of the DMU Alumni Association Board of Directors chose Jami Haberl, M.P.H.’03, M.H.A.’03 as president-elect and Paul Morris, D.O.’78, FACOFP, as vice president. They were elected to fill the open seats and their term of service in these leadership roles will conclude July 1, 2019.
Current president of the board is Sanford Zelnick, D.O.’80, who will serve in that role through July 1, 2019.
Haberl is executive director of the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative, an effort to make Iowa the nation’s healthiest state by improving the physical, social and emotional well-being of its citizens. She has been a member of the Alumni Board since 2015. Morris is the owner/physician of Carlstadt Family Practice in Carlstadt, NJ. He has served on the board since 2015.
Zelnick, an Alumni Board member since 2011, is director of the Sumter County Health Department headquartered in Bushnell, FL. Prior to that role, he completed a 24-year career in the U.S. Air Force Medical Service, retiring with the rank of colonel in 2007.
