Philip F. Meyer, D.O.’94, in November joined Dr. Rick Holm for his online “On Call with the Prairie Doc” program to discuss the goal of diabetes treatment, exercise as the key to controlling Type 2 diabetes, stressors in uncovering diabetes and the advancement in diabetes medicine as well as the increasing cost of this medication. Meyer is an internist in Pierre, SD, and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center and Avera St. Mary’s Hospital.
