Scott Bohner, D.O.’05

Scott Bohner, D.O.’05, co-authored an editorial that appeared in the Sept. 1 issue of the Des Moines Register, “Teaching health centers vital to solving physician shortage in Iowa,” about the maldistribution and shortage of physicians in rural and underserved areas. The editorial called on Congress to reauthorize and appropriately fund the Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education Program, which trains primary care physicians. Bohner is president-elect of the Iowa Academy of Family Physicians and a family medicine physician at Winneshiek Medical Center Clinic in Decorah, IA.
