Vuong Nayima, D.O.’11

Vuong Nayima, D.O.’11, was featured in the “You should get to know” section of the Des Moines Register on Aug. 10. An allergist and clinical immunologist at the Allergy Institute in West Des Moines, he has multiple research publications in his field and is board-certified in internal medicine. Nayima completed the University of Iowa’s internal medicine residency program at Methodist Medical Center in 2014 and a fellowship in allergy/immunology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2016. He shared in the feature that he has volunteered his time at his former middle school’s cultural and science/technology/engineering/mathematics (STEM) days, presenting on his childhood in Vietnam and on being a doctor.
