Terrence J. Barrett, D.O.’03

Barrett has joined North Broward Radiologists (NBR) in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and brings a wealth of experience in breast imaging and intervention with him.

Barrett has served extensively in armed forces medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, where he was chief resident in 2007-2008. He served as chief of radiology at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell, KY, from July 2008 to June 2012. He also went overseas to serve as chief of radiology for the 28th Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq, from April through October 2010. He then moved on to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, where he completed his fellowship in women’s and breast imaging from July 2012 to June 2013.

“At North Broward Radiologists, I will primarily be working in breast imaging and intervention,” says Barrett, who firmly believes in the philosophy that “yearly mammography screening is the key to early disease detection and cure.”
