Louison is retiring from Swope Health Services in Kansas City, MO, after 21 years of service. Swope Health Services is a federally qualified community health center serving more than 40,000 uninsured and underinsured patients every year. In 2009, Louison was honored by the Missouri Academy of Physician Assistants with the Leadership Excellence Achieved Through Practice award. She was recognized for her outstanding professional achievement and faithful service to the medically underserved. “I am proud to be her physician collaborator,” said David Dembinski, M.D., chairman of Swope’s adult medicine department. “She has been an asset to Swope Health and especially to the thousands of patients she has served.”
