Werner joined Lone Star Orthopaedics & Spine Specialists in Fort Worth, TX, and was appointed to the medical staff of Huguley Memorial Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX, after completing a three-year podiatric residency at Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. He has been a frequent speaker and presenter at professional conferences and is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
