Newton has joined Fort Madison Physicians and Surgeons in Fort Madison, IA, after completing a family medicine residency at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines. He is a sports and science enthusiast and is authorized to coach high school sports; he is looking forward to the opportunity to spend time on the sidelines as a team physician and possibly a coach. He and his wife, Sara, and children, Caedon and Drake, reside in Fort Madison.
