Helmrick practices at the Ellsworth Medical Clinic in Ellsworth, WI. The clinic received one of the two nationwide award from the Million Hearts Initiative, a public-private effort by the Department of Health and Human Services. The initiative has a goal of preventing one million heart attacks and strokes by 2017. The award was based on the Ellsworth clinic’s focus on managing hypertension. Recent quality measures showed that 97% of the clinic’s chronic disease patients had achieved blood pressure control.
