Community education @ DMU

UPDATE: The Feb. 1 class was postponed due to weather. It has been rescheduled for Feb. 15 in the same time/location as originally scheduled.

Physical therapy can be very helpful in treating women’s health issues. Libby Trausch, D.P.T., from our Physical Therapy Clinic will be teaching a class for the community on Feb. 1 about how it can help.

Bones, Bottoms & Balance” is a two-hour program, beginning at 6:30 p.m., in the DMU Olsen Medical Education Center, 3200 Grand Ave. It costs $20 and registration is at www.DMced.org.

This class will focus on avoiding falls, correcting issues that lead to urine leakage, discussing osteoporosis & its effects and improving balance. Attendees will also learn how to properly do a kegel exercise and learn about exercises to combat a hump-backed posture.

If you can’t make the class but need help with any of these issues, you can schedule an appointment with Dr. Trausch.
