Get thee to the State Library on Thursday or Friday (June 3-4)!
The state medical library closed in March and they’re selling medical books and journals! The state library is in the Miller Building, 1112 E. Grand Ave., and is open 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Visitor parking just north of the building and one block east.
Hardbacks are $2, paperbacks $1, journals are 10 cents, health videos are $1. You can also negotiate to buy entire runs of journals. The sale is first-come, first-served. No credit cards. Bring cash/check and your own bags/boxes. Some items are already gone but you can check the catalog ahead of time for what they have/had.
Of course you shouldn’t worry about losing access to a great medical library because the DMU Library is still here for you! It’s a great resource & study spot for students, plus it’s open to the public. It’s considered a National Library of Medicine Resource Library and has a 26,000+ medical book collection, has 35,336 volume-bound journals plus gets 600 journal & newsletter subscriptions!
