(Des Moines, IA) – You are invited to join Des Moines University (DMU) students, faculty, alumni and staff for a 5k through the beautiful south of Grand neighborhood around DMU.
The August 14 race, called DMU Run-Day-Voo, will begin at 7:30 a.m. in the circle drive in front of the Des Moines University Academic Center (north entrance), 3440 Grand Avenue.
Participants can run or walk for only $20, which includes a t-shirt. Register at www.dmu.edu or the day of the race, beginning at 7 a.m. This annual event correlates with the annual alumni reunion. Awards will be given for overall winners. Race packets can be picked up on Friday, August 13, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., in the Student Education Center courtyard, 3300 Grand Ave., or the day of the event, 7-7:20 a.m., at the start line.
The DMU Osteopathic Finish Line student group and physical therapy students will provide supervised osteopathic manual treatments and flexibility assessments to race participants and supporters.
