What’s Next?

Review these helpful resources as you prepare for the year ahead at Des Moines University.

  • Secure Your Seat

    Submit your non-refundable seat deposit and matriculation agreement by the deadlines listed on your DMU admissions account. You will be able to view the deadlines and additional items within one week following your acceptance.

  • Success Meeting

    Your success meeting phone appointment with a DMU Admissions staff member will help you understand the DMU onboarding process. Your success meeting must be scheduled by the deadline listed on your DMU Admissions account. The actual appointment may be held following the deadline.

  • Credentials

    Beginning in Spring 2024, watch for your DMU credentials to be sent to you via encrypted email following your deposit submission. Your credentials will give you access to Pulse, which contains information you need to get started at DMU, such as financial aid, student health, health insurance and more.

  • Stay Connected

    We can't wait to see you on campus! Connect with your future classmates and current D.P.M. students through your class Facebook group and keep up with the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery on Instagram!

  • Background Check Process

    All incoming students must complete a background check and drug screen through DMU’s vendor prior to matriculation. Instructions and additional details will be provided in April 2024.

Additional information will be distributed to students prior to registration and leading up to the beginning of the term.

  • Orientation

    Orientation is mandatory and will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024.

    Class meetings may be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, and the first day of class will be Monday, August 5, 2024.

  • White Coat Ceremony

    One of every clinical student’s earliest and best memories is putting on their white coat for the first time. Save the date for the 2024 White Coat Ceremony on Friday, September 13, and watch for additional information to be shared in April.
