What’s Next?

Review these helpful resources as you prepare for onboarding at DMU.

  • Check Your DMU Admissions Account for details about deadlines, including your seat deposit, matriculation agreement, transcripts and more.

  • Complete the Criminal Background Check Process. Detailed instructions will be available on Pulse approximately three months prior to orientation.

  • Ensure DMU Has All Final Transcripts Listed on Your DMU Admissions Account by the Posted Deadline. Final transcripts can be sent to DMUAdmit@dmu.edu. If you are concerned that your transcript will not be available by the deadline, email DMUAdmit@dmu.edu.

  • Check Your DMU Email and Pulse Often! Once you have your DMU email, expect communications from faculty and all other campus departments to come to this address.

  • Contact the Financial Aid Office at 515-271-1470 if you plan to request loans or have other questions regarding the financial aid process.

Watch for the following items to be posted to Pulse throughout the semester.

  • Financial Aid E-Packet

    Complete all forms as early as possible. If you will not be requesting aid, kindly inform the financial aid office at financial.aid@dmu.edu.

  • Pre-Registration Checklist

    This must be completed prior to orientation.

  • Student Health Requirements

    This will help you know which immunizations are required.

  • Student Health Insurance

    All DMU students are required to carry health insurance. You will have the opportunity to enroll in or waive DMU’s health insurance plan.
