2017 Year In Review

We're DMU PROUD, And Rightfully So

If you’ve attended DMU events over the past year, you’ve likely heard us emphasize the phrase, “DMU Proud.” You’ve seen it on our fundraising materials. On campus, you’ll see our employees wearing “DMU Proud” t-shirts on casual-dress days. More than part of our talking points and promotions, it’s a sentiment that’s built on substance.

We hope to show you that in this new publication, an annual report about our activities and achievements of the past year. We know that much of the work we do and the accomplishments of our students, faculty and staff are made possible by the engagement of our alumni, gifts from our donors, guidance of local and national health care leaders and support from across the community and among our elected officials. We are deeply grateful to all who are part of the important work we do – preparing outstanding health care providers, professionals and leaders.

You’ll see some key numbers in this report, and you’ll see that DMU people and programs in action are the heart of our institution. As you peruse these pages, we are confident that you, too, will become – if you aren’t already – DMU Proud.

Sincerely yours,
