The Des Moines West Side Chamber held its Annual Victory Celebration on February 10, 2015 recognizing Des Moines University as its Business of the Year noting the University’s support, leadership and economic contribution to Des Moines, as well as their development of physicians and other health care professionals in all of Iowa and the nation.
Sue Huppert, DMU’s vice president of external and government affairs, serves as the West Side Chamber’s secretary and was on hand for the celebration at Flix Brewhouse.

Des Moines’ West Side is an established area of Des Moines with a rich history in niche retail and service businesses, higher education, restaurants, boutique professional offices, cultural amenities, and not-for-profits. The chamber’s mission is to serve their community by supporting and enhancing the unique quality of life and commerce that defines the Des Moines West Side.
