Holocaust survivor to share story at Des Moines University

In remembrance of Holocaust Memorial Day, Des Moines University is hosting a presentation by Holocaust survivor Fred Lorber on Friday, April 20, at noon in the Student Education Center auditorium, 3300 Grand Avenue.

Fred Lorber was a teenager when the Nazis invaded his home of Vienna, Austria. He was able to escape to the United States, where he later joined the army to fight against the Nazis.

DMU encourages students, staff and faculty to be well-informed on a variety of topics. Lorber will share his unique experiences and perspective in an educational presentation about this historical tragedy. The public is also invited to attend.

Attendees are welcome to bring a lunch. There is a cafeteria near the auditorium for those interested in purchasing a hot lunch.
