A note from the Alumni Board President

Some of the finest providers and leaders of health care in America are alumni of Des Moines University!

Our graduates serve as leaders for multiple professional organizations across the country, and each year a considerable number of DMU Alumni receive substantial awards for their service and excellence. Your Alumni Board of Directors is proud to be graduates of this great institution and represent each of the university’s three colleges.

The purpose of the Board is to strengthen the relationship between alumni and the University by facilitating information about DMU and to serve as a collaboration between the graduates and University leadership. The Alumni Association creates value as engaged graduates are part of developing a strong educational program.

Your Alumni Board has been highly active with the current programs:

  • The Acknowledgment program congratulates alumni on their professional development.
  • The annual Alumni Awards honor alumni who have made significant contributions in their chosen fields or communities.
  • The Alumni Sharing Knowledge (ASK) is a mentoring network comprised of alumni and students. Share your contact information today to connect with DMU students eager for your advice and insights.
  • The Financial Wellness program developed this past year is designed to assist recent graduates (within 10 years) to better understand life’s financial stresses and strategies to develop firm economic stability.
