Alumni Awards
Des Moines University and the Alumni Association Board of Directors are proud to honor the diverse talents and accomplishments of exceptional DMU alumni. Nominations are accepted July 1 through December 31.
The Alumni of the Year and Rising Star Awards will be announced each year on July 1 and presented at the Alumni Awards Ceremony during Alumni Reunion.
Alumni of the Year
Alumni of the Year honorees demonstrate a significant accomplishment in their professional life or for distinguished human service to their community, state, or nation and are selected by the DMU Alumni Association Board of Directors. One winner will be selected annually for each college.
Rising Star Award
The Rising Star Award is awarded by the Alumni Board of Directors, to a recent graduate who has already made noteworthy contributions to their industry or community. One winner who graduated in the past 15 years will be selected annually.
