What To Expect During the Interview Process

At Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences, we offer a candidate experience that helps you feel confident in your decision to pursue your goals with us.

The resources here will aid in familiarizing yourself with DMU and our interview process.

An Experience Developed With You in Mind

Our goal is to enable you to be your authentic self, sharing your unique perspectives and plans with us. Our interview process is designed to accommodate you, with on-campus and virtual options available.

Visit your DMU Admissions Account to select the interview format you prefer:

  • Option 1:
    On-Campus Interview

    Join us in person on our beautiful campus in West Des Moines, Iowa, to learn more about the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. You will have the opportunity to visit with the CPMS Dean, interview with faculty, meet current students and tour our facilities. Most importantly, you will experience our caring and engaging community.

    Interviews are held on select Fridays.

  • Option 2:
    Virtual Interview

    Conducted via Zoom, the virtual interview will include time with current students, a program overview with the Dean and an interview with faculty.

    Interviews are held on select Fridays.

Please allow 1-2  weeks for a final decision after completing your interview, which will be either acceptance, alternate or release from consideration.
