Non-Degree Registration
Thank you for your interest in pursuing coursework at Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences as a student in non-degree seeking status! Now that you are approved to register for non-degree courses, follow the instructions below to begin the enrollment process.
1. Seat Deposit
To confirm your intent to enroll in a non-degree course, submit the non-refundable $250 deposit. This deposit establishes your DMU billing account and will be applied toward the tuition for your first course upon registration. Once your deposit is received, we will begin the remaining steps of the enrollment process.
You can submit your deposit through your DMU Admissions Account.
2. Access to DMU Accounts
Within a few days of submitting your deposit, your DMU accounts will be activated and login instructions for your DMU email, Pulse and D2L accounts will be sent to you via email.
Pulse is DMU’s intranet and serves as a central resource for important enrollment and student information. D2L is the learning management system used to access course materials, complete assignments and participate in coursework.
3. Registration for Non-Degree Coursework
After your accounts are activated, you may register for eligible non-degree coursework during your term’s registration period.
Be sure to review the dates below and complete your registration within the designated timeframe.
- Spring 2027 Term Registration — Nov. 30 through Dec. 27, 2026
- Summer 2027 Term Registration — April 19 through May 16, 2027
- Fall 2027 Term Registration — June 21 through July 25, 2027
4. Payment of Tuition
Note: Individuals registering for non-degree coursework are not eligible for federal financial aid.
The full tuition amount is due at the time of registration; there are no exceptions to this policy.
