Applications are due by March 1, 2024, and all supplemental materials are due by March 15, 2024.

Application Materials

To be considered for the Health P.A.S.S. program taking place June 8-28, 2024, you must complete and submit the following:

Complete the online application by March 1, 2024.

Official Transcripts

Submit transcripts from all colleges or universities attended. Transcripts must be sent directly from the college or university to dmuadmit@dmu.edu or by mail to:

Parents’ Federal Tax Returns

Submit most recent tax returns if identifying as economically disadvantaged. Tax returns can be uploaded through your DMU Admission Account.

Letters of Recommendation

Submit two letters: one from your science or mathematics professor and one from any college/university professor with whom you’ve taken a course. Letters of recommendation can be sent through your DMU Admission Account.

Please submit all application materials by March 15, 2024.

Application Requirements

You must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the U.S. to be eligible for any Health P.A.S.S. program. Preference will be given to applicants entering their junior or senior year in college in the summer of 2024 and demonstrating need in any of the following categories:

  • Economically Disadvantaged: Family income must be within federal low-income guidelines. Family tax returns are required to be considered economically disadvantaged. If you are unsure if you qualify, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services may provide some guidance.
  • Educationally Disadvantaged: Neither parent has completed a bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Underrepresented Minority: Racial and ethnic populations that are underrepresented in the medical profession relative to their numbers in the general population.

Ideal applicants will have a minimum 3.2 GPA and have completed the following coursework prior to attending Health P.A.S.S.:

  • 8 hours of biology
  • 8 hours of chemistry
  • 3 hours of English/speech/composition
  • 3.2 minimum science/overall GPA
