College of Osteopathic Medicine Early Acceptance Program
The College of Osteopathic Medicine's Early Acceptance Program (EAP) is an opportunity for academically superior students to receive a conditional offer of admission as early as second semester of their sophomore or junior year of college. If you are committed to Des Moines University and a career in medicine, this program allows you to apply, interview and be conditionally accepted by early summer following your sophomore or junior year. Following graduation with your bachelor's degree and successful completion of all conditions, you can enroll at DMU.
Is the Early Acceptance Program right for me?
Ideal candidates have investigated a career in osteopathic medicine and know Des Moines University is the best fit for their medical education. This is best demonstrated by engagement in various activities to broaden your understanding of the role of a physician within the healthcare system. These activities can be paid or volunteer positions.

- Earn a bachelor's degree from your undergraduate institution
