Dr. David Strom
Dr. David Strom, Ph.D. is an associate professor in the Physiology/Pharmacology Department specializing in cancer research. Dr. Strom was awarded $39,053 in 2007 for a Pfizer Grant entitled, "Evaluation of Atorvastatin's Effect on CNS metastasis". Dr. Strom is currently working in collaboration with Dr. Mollie James, D.O, a surgery resident at Mercy Hospital, conducting research on developing therapies to block CNS metastasis of breast cancer and identifying new treatments once it occurs.

Current Research Projects:
- Understanding the role of RUNX1 in cell cycle progression and cancer
- Identifying new cancer chemotherapeutic agents.
- Developing a model and treatment modality for Breast Cancer metastasis to the brain.
