Student Health Insurance

To ease financial barriers to health care and safeguard the financial stability of students, the University requires that all full-time students in clinical programs, including MSBS and MSA, have medical insurance coverage that provides comprehensive benefits.

While students are welcome to enroll in plans provided through their parents’, spouse’s and/or partner’s employer, they are encouraged to carefully review the University’s plan, which offers comprehensive benefits designed specifically to meet students’ health care needs.

New students receive information on the insurance plan in pre-orientation mailings and during orientation. Students may also view this information on the student portal once sign-on information is received.

The deadline to complete the waiver/enroll process for the 2013-2014 academic year is August 1, 2013 by 11:59 p.m.  Students that do not complete the online waiver/enroll process by August 1st will automatically be enrolled onto the Aetna Plan.  For more information, please contact the office of Student Life.   All information and online links for student health insurance can be found on the Pulse at:
