celebrating research: the dmu Research Symposium

The annual Research Symposium showcases the scholarly activities of the faculty and students at Des Moines University.

The Symposium is a forum for student and faculty scholars to present their research and engage the larger community in discussion on cutting-edge topics. It includes projects from health-related disciplines, encourages interdisciplinary discourse, the examination of the connection between research and education, and allows presenters to learn from, receive constructive feedback, and establish relationships with others.

Highlighting Research at DMU

We celebrate the success of our student and faculty scholars whose work demonstrate the critical role research plays in the advancement of health care and the production of new hypotheses. Their projects demonstrate the ongoing institutional commitment to supporting and expanding research opportunities at Des Moines University.

Awards and certificates will be given to recognize outstanding achievement for oral and poster presentations. Participants who are selected to receive an award must be both affiliated with Des Moines University and present at the awards ceremony to receive winnings. In addition, all student participants would be entered in a raffle drawing for prizes and must be present when called to receive the prize.
