DMU community comes together to support University’s mission

For 24 hours, DMU alumni, employees, students and friends from across the nation came together to invest in the University’s mission: During One Day for DMU, from noon to noon April 27-28, 262 donors contributed a total of $175,807. These gifts will support 26 different funds for scholarships, program and college operations and other designated purposes. The average gift size was $671.

One Day for DMU is part of the University’s $25 million Purple & Proud Campaign, the largest fundraising efforts in DMU’s history.

“Amid all the challenges everyone is facing during the COVID-19 pandemic, our donors acted on the knowledge that the world needs the highly competent, compassionate health care professionals the University educates,” says Stephanie Greiner, chief development officer. “We are incredibly grateful for their generous support and the powerful impact it will have.”
